Accessible navigation for Malaysia
Close the information gap between wheelchair users and the accessibility of the places they want to go, using real, community-verified data instead of assumptions.
Wheelchair users first, and everyone whose route is shaped by a step: people using walking aids, parents with prams, older travellers, and anyone recovering from injury.
Malaysia, and only Malaysia, all 13 states and 3 federal territories. Staying focused on one country is what makes the data dense enough to be useful.
Move My Way started in Johor Bahru, from a simple observation. Plenty of apps do one piece of this well, but nobody had put accessible navigation, trusted place information, community reporting and rewards together in one place, made for Malaysia.
Accessibility information also goes stale faster than almost any other kind of place data. A ramp exists until a delivery van parks on it. A lift works until it doesn't. That's why reporting and confirmation aren't a side feature here, they're the mechanism that keeps everything else honest.
Baseline venue records are researched, not surveyed in person. They're an honest starting point that the community corrects over time, which is exactly how the voting and reporting system is meant to be used.
Three things we will not change, whatever the app grows into.
No subscription, no paid tier, nothing to buy inside the app. Rewards are earned, never sold.
Confirmed information is labelled as confirmed. We would rather show an honest 61 percent than an invented five stars.
Your location is used while you navigate and nowhere else. No background tracking and no advertising.
A researched baseline is labelled as a baseline. Community-confirmed data is labelled as confirmed. When the assistant answers from its offline tier, it says so. We'd rather show you an honest 61% than an invented 5 stars.
Location is used for foreground navigation only, no background tracking, no third-party push service, no advertising SDK anywhere in the build.
Large touch targets, high-contrast text, a full dark theme, voice guidance, and a reduced-motion-friendly interface, accessibility as the default, not a settings page.
Nobody at a desk knows whether that ramp is blocked today. The people on the pavement do, so they're the ones the system trusts, with confirmation as the check on it.
